Puyallup, Washington: Native Children’s Survival (NCS) President Robby Romero and Youth Ambassador Ta’Kaiya Blaney will be addressing Chief Leschi Schools in Puyallup, Washington on the eve of Mother Earth Day. The presentation will include the screening of two music pictures EARTH REVOLUTION and WHO’S GONNA SAVE along with live performances, a keynote address and a Q&A.
Chief Leschi Schools is the largest Bureau of Indian Affairs School with approximately 890 students representing 60+ Tribal Nations and bands from throughout Indian Country. Robby Romero performed at the opening of Chief Leschi Schools in 1996. 2016 marks Chief Leschi Schools 20th Anniversary.
Chief Leschi students will be presented with United Nations booklets on the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. NCS believes that the implementation of the Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples is crucial to solving the Climate Crisis and protecting the world’s remaining wild places and sacred sites.
