THE WORST US DRAUGHT IN 100 YEARS. WHAT’S NEXT?

About 55 percent of the continental U.S. experienced moderate to extreme drought conditions at the end of June. (photo by Giro555 via Flickr CC.)

With more than half the country experiencing the worst draught in history, what is Mother Earth telling us, and when will we listen? With little rain, farms are yielding less crops for farmers and those who depend on their harvest for survival. (Farmers struggle as historic draught diminishes crop fields – pri.org). But is there a greater connection Worldwide?

A recent CNN report explains that North Korea is also facing its worst draught in over 50 years, with little relief or help in sight.

It seems all around the World, Mother Earth is responding to the impact we are having on the environment. How many times will the story be told before everyone listens?
